Ecological agriculture

Organic agricultural production, also called biological and organic, is a system of production and processing of agricultural products. The objective is to obtain the highest quality food while respecting the environment and without using synthetic chemicals (hormones, medicines, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, etc.)

Organic agricultural production is regulated by European regulations (EEC Regulation 2092/91), which establishes the production, labeling and control system standards for these products.

This control, in the case of Catalonia, is carried out by the Catalan Council of Organic Agricultural Production, the sole control and certification body for all food products of animal and plant origin, processed or not, obtained in Catalonia.

Our vineyards

We are located in the center of the Penedès region.

The vineyards are located on the estates: Mas Lluet, Can Planes d'en Perull and Las Conilleres, all of them in Castellví de la Marca, in different areas and altitudes of the municipality.

Our 66 hectares of vineyards are cultivated through the organic farming system, controlled by the CCPAE, the official body of organic agricultural production in Catalonia. From the selection of our best vineyards, we obtain the flower must which is the first draining of the grapes, also called "firsts". Our select wines and cavas are made only with this raw material, the result of the work carried out throughout the year with the dedication and tenderness of the entire family.

The following varieties are grown in our vineyards:

WHITE GRAPE

Macabeo, Xarel lo, Parellada, Chardonnay, Muscat de Alejandría, Muscat de Frontignac, Sauvignon Blanco, Garnacha Blanca, Gerwürztraminer and Forcada. With these varieties we make white wines and our aged cavas.

RED GRAPE

Tempranillo, Merlot, red grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Moneu. With these varieties we make our rosé, young and aged red wines.

The production winery and the bottling plant are integrated into our Catalan farmhouse.

You can visit the cellars whenever you wish, preferably with advance reservation, especially when it comes to weekends or holidays and/or large groups.
